This very rare alocasia, known as the African Mask, Elephant Ear or Jewel Alocasia, has dark, almost black, alien-looking leaves that remain relatively small. As with most beautiful things, it demands respect and is on the harder side to care for. It requires bright, indirect sunlight as well as soil that is constantly moist from watering, and is very sensitive to the cold. But damn, isn't it gorgeous?! Currently available in a 4 inch pot
